KATHERINE LOZYNYC (BUCHKO)
Date of Passing: Nov 17, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHERINE LOZYNYC (nee BUCHKO) Peacefully, on Monday, November 17, 2003 at the age of 88 years, Katherine Lozynyc, our beloved mother, grandmother and sister left this earth to meet her creator. She was predeceased by her husband Maksym; parents, John and Anne Buchko and two sisters, Anne and Olga. Left to honour her memory and cherish her love are her two sons, Max (Debbie) and Tim (Doreen) as well as her five beloved grandchildren, Lindsay, Katherine, Matthew, Krystin and Mitchell. Babas face lit up whenever she saw her grandchildren. She loved them so much and they brought great joy to her life. She is also survived by her two sisters, Mary Merrick and Tina Liska. Mom was born and resided in Winnipeg her whole life. She was a long time member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church and as a young girl attended St. Nicholas School (now IHMS). The qualities of Jesus were very evident in and through moms life. She was a selfless person who cared more about others than herself. Her unconditional love of her family and her acceptance of others were truly a reflection of Gods love. She loved to serve others - especially with food. Mom was a blessing to all who knew her. A special thank you is extended to the third floor nursing staff at Holy Family Nursing Home. Your compassion and tender care of mom will remain a very special memory for us. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary School, 650 Flora Ave. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 21, also at Korban Funeral Chapel with Father Dmytro Dnistrian C.Ss.R. officiating. Interment at Holy Family Cemetery. VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
