Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOSWALD THOMAS OCONNOR With dignity and fortitude Oswald OConnor passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Victoria General Hospital on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 after a long and courageous battle. Oswald was predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife Mildred in 1984; and his daughter Patricia in 1993. Left to mourn his passing and to cherish his memory are his daughter Sandra Harrison and her husband Robert; granddaughters, Shelley Hilderman (Greg) and Sheryl Harrison (Marc) of Calgary; granddaughter Kristen and grandsons, Jeffrey Harrison and Ryan Yurkowski all of Winnipeg; great-granddaughter Madison; brothers, Jack and Kenny; nieces and nephews and his close friend Ken Nixon. He will be sadly missed by his many friends, relatives and acquaintances. Ossie will be forever remembered for his generous nature, kind spirit and sense of humour. Oswald was born in Port Arthur, ON on December 21, 1923. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1941 to 1945. He spent a long, full life living, working and raising his family in Winnipeg. What he enjoyed the most in his later years were his favourite pastimes, fishing and attending his grandchildrens activities. Oswald served with the Knights of Columbus, Narol Council for 25 years as a Past Grand Knight and Past Faithful Navigator-Mary Queen of the Knights-4th Degree Assembly. At Oswalds request no prayers will be held. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 22, at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 5819 Henderson Hwy. with Rev. Fr. J. Talarski, OMI officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at Assumption Cemetery at a later date. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
