Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryM. AUDREY GLADYS FERGUSON Peacefully, in the early hours of Sunday, November 23, 2003, Marjorie Audrey Gladys Ferguson entered into eternal rest. Audrey was born in Winnipeg on March 4, 1922 to Edith and Hazen Lawrie and spent her early childhood years at Matlock Beach, MB. Audrey was educated in Winnipeg and on January 11, 1941 she married William Ferguson. Bill and Audrey moved to Charleswood in 1954 to raise their family and Audrey resided in Charleswood until her death. She was a member of St. Marys Anglican Church, a lifetime member of the Charleswood Historical Society and Past President of the Charleswood Curling Club, Ladies Section. In her early years Audrey was active with her church. She sang in the choir for many years and volunteered countless hours of catering duties for parish functions. Audrey was also an eager and regular volunteer at "Flowers by God," St. Marys annual plant stand. For many years Audrey was a passionate curler and avid golfer. She enjoyed the many curling bonspiels she participated in and her fellow curlers remember her great love of life and wonderful sense of humour. Audrey was predeceased by her parents, her granddaughter Krista in 1991 and her husband Bill in 2000. She will by lovingly remembered by her daughters, Glenys Hilton (Lawrie) and Pam Gunter (Steve). Sharing in the loss of their grandmother are, Lorne Hilton (Cheryl), Lisa Hilton (Glen), Glenys Gail Simpson (Bruce) and Ryan Allingham. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Alexander, Jessie, Meaghan and Benjamin. Audrey will also be sadly missed by her dear friend Rose-Marie Tetrault. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Audreys life will be held at St. Marys Anglican Church, 3830 Roblin Blvd., on Friday, November 28 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Gordon Dixon presiding. Interment of ashes will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. Marys Anglican Church Memorial Fund, 3830 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R3R 0E4.
