Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBILL (WILLIAM) GERMAIN 1915 - 2003 Peacefully, on November 17, 2003, Bill (William) Germain, with his wife and family at his side, passed away at the St. Pierre Hospital. Dad was born April 10, 1915 to Ilo and Katherine Germain in Tolstoi on the original homestead. On October 8, 1944, Dad married Jeanne Pearle Stepaniuk of Vermillion, AB. Together they raised six children. He leaves to mourn wife Jeanne of 59 years; son Ken (Marge), grandchildren, Tanya and Kevin; daughter Lois, grandchildren, Stephanie (Patrick), Rebecca (Maurice), great-grandchildren, Wade and Katrina; son Don (Susan) son Glenn (Joan) son Terry (Dianne) son Murray (Linda), grandchildren, Laura and Leanne. One sister-in-law, Mary German, many nieces and nephews, as well as Moms family and many friends, also survives him. He was predeceased by a son, Orest, in infancy; a son-in-law, Steve; both parents; three sisters, Mary, Lena and Ann and a brother John, as well as many nieces and nephews and a great nephew, Kyle. Prayers will be held Thursday, November 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel, Steinbach. Funeral will be held Friday, November 21 at 10:00 a.m. in Tolstoi at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Ukrainian Catholic Church with burial to follow at the parish cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. Szaky and the nurses at the St. Pierre Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
