Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN R. KUPSKAY Peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at Deer Lodge Centre, John R. Kupskay, aged 75 years. John is survived by his wife of 52 years, Stephanie; sons, John (Connie), Darwin (Janie) and daughter Lori (Lance) Summers; grandchildren, Richard, Kristopher, Lindsay, Alyce and Sara; sisters, Mary Koltek, Jean Yates; sister-in-law Dorothy Kupskay; and numerous nieces and nephews. His mother Anna, father Stephen, brother Michael and brothers-in-law David Yates and William Koltek, predeceased him. John was born in Winnipeg on February 15, 1928. He attended Isaac Newton School and continued on to St. Pauls College. He held fond memories and often spoke of his days playing end for the St. Pauls Crusaders. His parents who taught him the importance of taking pride in what you do and never accepting anything less than your best mentored John. He in turn, instilled these same qualities and work ethic in his own children. Some of his proudest accomplishments were operating Kupskay Construction and Akron of Canada. John also held various positions managing construction projects across Canada from 1946 to 1982, some coming under the employment of Libling Michener Architectural Group, Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation and Shelter Corporation of Canada. He worked endless hours making sure every job was done to his high standards. Dad was a perfectionist finding gratification and fulfilment in making a living to support his family. Memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. with Rev. D. Kawiuk officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Humane Society or Deer Lodge Centre. According to Johns wishes cremation has taken place. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff on 4W as well as all other support staff at Deer Lodge Centre for their tender care.
