MARGARET JEAN HENRIKSON (PATERSON)
Date of Passing: Nov 20, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET JEAN HENRIKSON (nee PATERSON) Marg peacefully returned "Home" on November 20, 2003 after a brief hospital stay and an admirable battle with Multiple Sclerosis. It is with tender hearts that Margs children announce her untimely passing. They are comforted knowing that she is reunited with their father Paul, who predeceased her in 1992. Memories of Marg will be forever cherished by her children, Donna, Jan (Craig), Gord (Char) and Trent (Lousie) grandchildren, Kristjan, Freyja, Alex, Kaleigh, Brenna, Keejara, Saija and Mackenzie; beloved companion and pet Pepper; brother Ralph (Shirley) sister Betty (Don) sisters-in-law, Thorey. Lillian, Dorothy May and Claire; and by many loving nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Many acts of community service are woven into the fabric that was Margs life, as a teachers assistant with special needs children, as choir director of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, as an active and contributing member of P.E.O Chapter G, and having also served as president of the provincial P.E.O board. Always willing and ready to lend an ear or pour a cup of coffee, Margs door and heart were always open. A celebration of life will take place on Monday, November 24 at 11:00 a.m. in the Selkirk Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. Luncheon and reception will follow at the Holy Eucharist Parish Hall. Interment to follow in the spring. Pastor Charles Parker will also officiate a celebration of life, Friday, November 28 at the home of Trent and Louise Henrikson on Merritt Island, FL. Theres an area around the pool, amongst the garden and between the palm trees, that lets in the morning sun. This was Margs favourite spot and where the service will take place. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the MS Society of Manitoba, 400-141 Bannatyne Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3B 0R3. Heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Antonenko and the nursing staff at the Selkirk General Hospital. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
