Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKARL A. REINSCH Peacefully on November 20, 2003, Karl Reinsch, aged 83, passed away at Deer Lodge Centre. Karl will be lovingly remembered by Violet, his wife of 56 years; children, Rodney (Audrey), Susan, Mark, Jo Anne (Lynn) and Tim (Corinne) nine grandchildren; and brothers, Oscar and Gerald. He was predeceased by a brother Bert. Karl was born in Jansen, SK on August 7, 1920, moving to Manitoba with his family during the Depression. He served overseas in the Second World War from 1940 to 1945. Karl and Violet married on February 10, 1947 and settled on the family homestead in Brunkild. Karl farmed until the age of 80 and shortly after "retired" to Assiniboine Links in Winnipeg. He served for many years as a trustee on the Brunkild Consolidated School Board, was a director of the Brunkild Pool Elevator Association and a long standing member of the Canadian Seed Growers Association. Dad was a progressive farmer, embracing new technology as it changed over the years and building a farm establishment to live on for years to come. The family would like to thank the caring staff and doctors at Deer Lodge Centre, T5 and T6. Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 22, in the Garry Memorial Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 400 - 141 Bannatyne Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3B 0R3 or The Deer Lodge Foundation for Geriatrics, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2J 0L3.
