ESTHER AINA DUDMAN (nee MALMAS) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Esther Aina Dudman on November 20, 2003 at the age of 62 years at the Rehabilitation Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba with her family by her side. Esther will be lovingly remembered but sadly missed by her mom (Emma Malmas) brother Nels (Janet) Malmas; sisters Jenny Najduch, Lennea Malmas, Signe Johnson, Alma Malmas, Elsie (Graham) Murray and Carol Palmer; brother-in-law George Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews, many relatives and friends. Also very special friend Jim Dudman. She was predeceased by her grandparents Frederick and Margaret Malmas, Peter and Kathryn Hoas; brothers Leonard Malmas (1946), baby Malmas (1947), father John Malmas (1972) sister Sigrid Johnson (2001) brothers-in-law, Bill Johnson, Barry Palmer (2002) and Walter Najduch (2003). Esther was born June 8, 1941 at Meadows, Manitoba. She was baptized in Meadows on July 6, 1941, confirmed in St. Marks Lutheran Church May 29, 1955. Esther attended school in Meadows, Rosser and Winnipeg. She graduated from Gordon Bell High School with a diploma in Business Administration. She was employed with Motor Coach Industries until she met and married Jim Dudman in1963 and moved to Clear Lake, Manitoba. She spent her early years in Clear Lake and winters in Florida. She then moved to White Rock, BC from 1988 to 1994. She then moved back to Winnipeg where she spent the last 9 years of her life at the Quest Inn. The family extends sincere thanks to family and friends who have been so kind, supportive and patient during the past few months. Special thanks to Jim Dudman for his years of support while Esther struggled with multiple sclerosis, for the love he provided her in the years they were married. Sincere thanks to her caregivers at the Quest Inn, especially to Howard Denby who was a special caregiver and friend, who was there for all the little things she needed and hours of company. Thanks to Pastor Rick Sauer for his visits. Thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at the Health Sciences Centre and the Rehab Centre for their care and compassion. A Memorial service will take place Tuesday, November 25, at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Esthers memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Canadian Cancer Society or the St. Marks Lutheran Church Memorial Fund. Cropo Funeral Chapel 586-8044
