Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN TUDHOPE DICKSON MEGILL Jean Tudhope Dickson Megill died Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at Parkside Extendicare, Regina, Saskatchewan. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Megill, her parents Alexander (Sandy) and Mary Dickson, and her sisters Anne Jones and Dorothy Pattimore. She is survived by her two sons and five grandchildren: Allan Megill (Rita Felski) of Charlottesville, Virginia, John (Judy) Megill of Kuwait City, Kuwait, Jason Megill of Brooklyn, New York, Jessica Megill of San Diego, California, Jonathan Megill of Lexington, Kentucky, Jennifer Megill of Houston, Texas, Maria Megill Felski of Charlottesville, Virginia. Jean was born August 26, 1912 and lived her entire life in Saskatchewan. She grew up on her parents farm and then became a public school teacher. She married Ralph Megill in 1941 and they shared life with each other for 51 years of marriage. As a widow, Jean became an independent woman and lived life to the fullest until her health required her to become a resident of Parkside Extendicare in 2000. Jean and Ralph were proud to be members of the United Church. They valued education and always were interested in learning new things. Through travel they enjoyed seeing new places and meeting new people. Jean always said the purpose of her life was to make the world a better place in which to live. Over the years Jean had many titles including daughter, sister, teacher, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, widow and friend. She will be missed by all. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Parkside Extendicare for their loving care and for making the last years of her life comfortable and enjoyable. A Memorial Service will be held at Wesley United Church on Monday, November 24 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Haas officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Parkside Extendicare, South Wing, 4540 Rae Street, Regina, SK S4S 3B4 and/or Wesley United Church, 3913 Hillsdale Street, Regina, SK S4S 4E3.
