CAROLINE SPARROW 1911 - 2003 October 28, 2003, aged 92, Caroline Sparrow passed away at Victoria General Hospital, Winnipeg, MB. Caroline was predeceased by her husband Edward (Ted) 1985; parents, Fred and Maria Ruf; sisters, Meta, Dorothy and Molly. She is survived by sisters, Lydia Holland, Natalie (Dolly) Ruff of Vancouver, BC and brother Adam Ruff of Yorkton, SK; daughters, Elenore Edwards of Mather, MB and Shirley Lloyd and husband Bill of Navarre, FL; grandchildren, Ted and wife Nancy Edwards of Mather, Faye and husband Bob Leithwood of Brandon, MB, William Lloyd and wife Dianne of Tennessee, Lynda Diamond of Mississippi, Steven Lloyd and fiancee Clara of Florida, David Lloyd and wife Rebecca of Georgia; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Jarrett and Lucas Edwards, Michelle (Diamond) Southern and husband Rocky; also many nephews and nieces. Caroline worked at the Municipal Hospitals in Winnipeg in the 1930s where she met her future husband. Later she worked many years at the T. Eaton Co. Upon retirement they relocated to Vancouver and continued to enjoy their years together, adding many new friends to their circle. She will be sadly missed by all. Our loss is heavens gain. Her uplifting way and wonderful smile along with her sense of humour will be forever in our hearts. In accordance with Carolines wish, cremation has taken place. A private family committal service was held Friday, November 7 at Mather Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, if friends wish, donations may be made in Carolines memory to Prairie View Lodge Foundation, 424 Broadway, Apt. 26, Pilot Mound, MB, R0G 1P0 or a charity of your choice.
