Change In Service Times CLAUDE NORMAN ANDERSON September 13, 1933- November 22, 2003 After a brief illness, Claude passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2003, at the Selkirk General Hospital. He is survived by his children, Cecil (Conny), Chris (Nancy), Claudia (David) his grandchildren, Samantha, Bill, Greg, Kristyn; and great-grandson Theodore; as well as his sister Yvonne; and niece Robertta. Claude was born and raised in the West End of Winnipeg. During his life, he provided peacetime service in the Royal Canadian Navy, worked as an electrician in his fathers business, Sargent Electric, worked on the Limestone and Jenpeg Hydro projects in Northern Manitoba, and retired as a maintenance caretaker at the Colonnade apartments for the Newest Property Management Group. Although predeceased by his parents Cecil and Marge; and brother Cecil, Dad managed to realize his retirement dream when he spent a few short years relaxing in Gimli with his family, and golfing or curling with his brother. Claude was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 1 where he was an avid participant in league darts and snooker, but his real passion in life was good music and a good book. Should friends desire, donations in Claudes memory can be made to: The Winnipeg Library Foundation, P.O. Box 2503, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4A7, phone 989-2060. Our family gratefully acknowledges and thanks the staff of Red River Place in Selkirk for the tireless care and comfort they provided Dad over the past two years.
