Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGUERITE GERTRUDE STEVEN October 19, 1906 - November 24 2003 Marguerite died peacefully at Oakview Place, Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Grant; her sisters, Wilma Scott and Joy Brydon; and brothers, Murray Vinnell and Sidney Vinnell. She leaves many nieces and nephews surviving her. Marguerite was born in Boulton, MB. She completed her grade 12 in Neepawa. After graduation she pursued her business school training, with an interval of one year in Brandon at nursing school. Marguerite was first employed as a bookkeeper in Fort Garry, before she started working with Canadian National Railways. Her position with CNR took her to Montreal where she met Grant, whom she married in 1932. Marguerite and Grant spent memorable years together in Montreal. Grants work with Drummond McCall took them to Halifax in 1962 where they enjoyed their home by the side of the ocean. After Grants retirement in 1973 they returned to Montreal. Marguerite returned to Manitoba after Grants death in 1973. Marguerite was a lifelong member of the Daughters of the Nile. Cremation has taken place to be followed by interment in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal.
