Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNETTY (NELLIE) GERVAIS (nee LEMECHA) It is with sadness we announce the death of Nellie Gervais on Monday, November 24, 2003 at the St. Boniface General Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Art in 1991. She was also predeceased by her parents, Affamia and William Lemecha, sister Annie, sister Polly Horaski and brother Mike. She is survived by her brother Peter (Alice) Lemecha; daughters, Janice (Glenn) Scarth, Louise (Eric) Sayce; and son Jerome; also two grandchildren, Chris and Taylor Scarth; niece Donna Parsons; nephew Darryl Lemecha and numerous nieces and nephews. She worked at Eatons in the 1940s and 1950s, then worked for Office Overload and freelanced in Office Work until the 1970s. It was always her ambition to oil paint. She painted with Hans Osted and many of her paintings hung in the Red River Exhibition. She liked to crochet and knit and participate in many crafts. She belonged to the Saint Alphonsus C.W.L. for 40 years. She worked at the Bingo for several years and she belonged to the Holy Eucharist Whist Club for several years. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Rd. with Pastoral Assistant Charlette Novak officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow the interment in Green Acres Heritage Room. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematorium Hwy.
