Vina was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Jack. Vina loved her summer home in Whytewold that Jack built in 1954. She spent many wonderful summers at the cottage watching her family grow. She learned to manage her four older brothers as a little girl and later employed this experience with her children. Vina was the glue that kept her family close, and was always available for helpful advice or assistance. Her first and last concern was helping others, and was at Jacks side every day for 12 years during his struggle with Alzheimers. She volunteered at the Red Cross for many years and loved to bowl, play bridge and take long walks chatting with friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 28 in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway (783-7211). In lieu of flowers, donations may be forwarded to Alzheimers Society or charity of your choice.
