Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY MARTHA GUTSCHER 1927 - 2003 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mom and Gramma, Mary Gutscher (nee Verniest) of Holland, MB on November 26, 2003 at the age of 76 years. Mom is lovingly remembered by her daughter and close friends, Bonnie; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Lorna, and grandsons, Matthew and Abram. She is also survived by her brother, Jerome Verniest; sisters-in-law, Gretta and Jeanne Verniest, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Elsie and Tony Labossiere and Norma and Ed Drabyk and many nieces and nephews including her two godchildren, Tracey Drabyk and Kathy Tack. Mary was predeceased by husband, Edwin Gutscher in February, 1991; parents, Jules and Malvina Verniest; sisters, and brothers-in-law, Martha and Alphonse Gillis, Madeleine and George Buydens, sister, Bertha Verniest; brothers, Henri and Maurice Verniest; and sister-in-law, Katherine Verniest. With the passing of Dad in February 1991, it was Moms will and determination that allowed her to continue the farming operation the remainder of that year. Mom enjoyed the company of a great many friends, both long time and new, and all were welcomed at any time of the day or week. She willingly offered a helping hand in whatever way she could and was one of the angels among us! She volunteered as a 4-H leader and her passions included needlepoint, gardening, sewing, knitting and mending. She also has a special place in her heart for her "adopted" grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew Cuddy. Prayers will be said from the Budz Funeral Chapel, Holland, MB on Friday, November 28 at 8:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated from the St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, Holland, MB, on Saturday, November 29 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the St. John Berchmans Parish Cemetery, Holland, MB. Lunch will follow the interment from the St. Gerard Parish Hall, Bruxelles, MB. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Marys memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of MB, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
