NELLIE ANGELA DOBRINSKY (NEE MAGDY) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and devoted wife, Nellie Angela Dobrinsky, on Thursday morning, November 27, 2003 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Nellie was born in Goldbank, SK on November 17, 1931. The youngest of 13 children of Anna and Joseph Magdy. Raised on the farm that she loved, she left Saskatchewan at the tender age of 16 in 1947 and headed for Winnipeg. It was here that she met her future husband William. They were married on May 31, 1952 and immediately started their family. Nellie was a dedicated wife and devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was her life. Her love was unconditional. Her cooking was divine. Anyone who came to Moms house was always treated with love and respect, and of course, fed extremely well. She was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need, until her own health prevented it. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Bill; children Beverly Dobrinsky; Bill Jr. Dobrinsky; Carol Dobrinsky; Cynthia (Sean) Burke-Gaffney; and Maureen (Syd) Weidman; grandchildren Maria and Nikolai Dobrinsky; Conor, Ryan and Sarah Burke-Gaffney; and Samara Weidman. She is also survived by one brother Ziggy, and sisters Margy, Carol and Edna, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. We would like to thank the palliative care nurses on the 5th floor for their care and compassion. In accordance with Nellies wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will take place on Monday, December 1, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Interment and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Palliative Care unit at Seven Oaks Hospital, 2300 McPhillips Street, Wpg. MB. R2V 3M3. MOM In tears we saw you sinking We watched you fade away You suffered much in silence You fought so hard to stay You faced your task with courage your spirit did not bend But still you kept on fighting until the very end God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be so He put His arms around you and whispered "Come to me" So when we saw you sleeping so peaceful, free from pain we could not wish you back to suffer that again Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
