IRENE VICTORIA JOHNSON Passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2003. Her parents were Charlie and Mary Johnson. She is survived by her sister Mabel McDougald, many nieces and nephews and cousins. Irene attended school in Mozart and on graduation took teachers training. She taught throughout Saskatchewan and was at Deschambault Lake when she retired in 1980. Irene loved travelling and the highlight was her trips to Scotland where she taught for a year. Irene loved to help people and she spent hours helping out the elderly. She spent much time as a volunteer with child Evangelism Fellowship in Winnipeg until she suffered a stroke in 1999. She spent three months in Concordia Hospital and then her sister Mabel cared for her for eight months. The last three years were spent in Wawanesa Personal Care home where her sister Mabel was a constant visitor. Irene will be missed by her many friends and relatives. A service celebrating her life was held in Wynyard Gospel Church on November 23 with interment in the family plot Pleasantville Cemetery, Wynyard, Sask.
