ANNE STEKLER "Last Day on Earth, First Day in Heaven." Peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2003, Anne, aged 92 passed away at Concordia Hospital. Anne will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Marlene of Surrey, BC and relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Albert; her sister Mary; and her brothers, Jack, Walter and George. Anne was born in Selkirk, MB and was employed for many years as a fur finisher. Anne enjoyed family, friends, gardening, volunteer work and made the best perogies. She spent time with the Auxiliary and the seniors group at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. We will miss her sweet smile and her quiet gentle nature. The family wishes to thank Dr. Sutherland, Dr. Harris, the nurses and staff of Concordia Hospital, Nursing Unit 3 East and the Oncology Department for their loving kindness and compassionate care to Anne and the family. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 708 McCalman Ave. with Pastor R. Kruesel officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 708 McCalman Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1G7 or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
