In addition she will be sadly missed by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Aileen was born in Turtleford, SK on August 14, 1925. She later moved with her parents and family to the Treherne area of Manitoba and then on to Portage la Prairie. Here in 1949 she met and married her husband of 50 years, Bill Logan. They remained in Portage for a few years, where Aileen worked at the bus depot. They moved to Winnipeg and later in 1959 bought a home at 470 London St. where they resided most of their lives. Aileen worked at the Grey Hound Bus Depot as a ticket agent and later became a waitress at various places, finally retiring as a waitress at the La Salle Hotel. Aileen was a loving person, and excellent mother and cook. She was known to be a bright, strongwilled, somewhat cantankerous at times and often opinionated person with a kind spot in her heart and a good sense of humour. On numerous occasions she would take in people in need of help to live with her family until they got back on their feet. In her last year, Aileen lived at Deer Lodge Centre where she remained until she passed away. The family would like to thank the staff at the Deer Lodge Centre on ward 4 west for their professionalism and patience considering the cantankerous portion of her personality, shone through during this time. Aileen, Mom, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend, you will be missed and loved. Funeral service will be held at the North Kildonan United Church, 174 Pentland on Tuesday, December 2 at 2:00 p.m.
