ANDREW (ANDY) STEWART On November 29, 2003, at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB, Andrew (Andy) Stewart, aged 76 years, of Camper, MB, passed away. He is survived by his loving wife Joyce, with whom he would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on February 27. He is also survived by his two sons, Lionel (Angela), their children, Lisa and Andrew, all of Calgary, AB; Gary (Diane), their children, Jason, Chelsie and Brock of San Antonio, TX; his sisters, Scottie Rasmussen of Winnipeg, MB, Dorothy Morrison and Mary Parker of Toronto, ON; his mother-in-law Alice Schultz of Lundar, MB; sisters-in-law, Doreen (Max) Prychitko, Eileen Hutsebaut, June (Don) Reece, Bev (Eddie) Chrisp, Pat Fuller (Ed), Evelyn (Bill) Eyolfson and Gladys (David) Reykdal; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and honorary son Fred Schnell of Sioux Narrows, ON; and many good friends. He was predeceased by his mom and dad, Catherine and Charles; and his brothers, Albert, Joe; niece Elaine; nephew Tim Chrisp; father-in-law Carl Schultz; brothers-in-law, Frank Morrison and Ron Parker. Andy was born on November 4, 1927 in Woodridge, MB. The family later moved to Winnipeg. At a very early age, Andy worked in the bush camps in Ontario. He met Joyce Schultz whom he married on February 27, 1954. Together they raised their two sons. Andy worked at Canada Packers for 36 years until his retirement in 1990. Andy and Joyce moved to the Schultz family farm and resided there until his passing. Andy always liked to keep busy. He spent countless hours building and repairing around the farm. Andy kept his love for the bush where he often went woodcutting. He always ensured that there was a 10-year supply of firewood. His grandchildren were the highlight of his life. Both he and his grandchildren looked so forward to their visits. The old truck and car rides will never be forgotten. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4 at the Camper Community Hall, with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Friends and relatives may pay their respects between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m on Wednesday, December 3 at the Arnason Funeral Home in Ashern. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the hall. The service will conclude at the hall. In keeping with Andys wishes, cremation will take place and a burial will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr. Lee Isaacs, the nurses and staff at Lakeshore General Hospital and the Rehabilitation Unit at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg for the wonderful care they gave Andy. A special thank you to Chum for always being there, for the support and help you gave Andy and our family, this will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andys memory to the Lakeshore General Hospital Guild in care of Julie Bergner, Box 721, Ashern, MB R0C 0E0 (to be used for the Ashern Palliative Care Unit).
