CORY MICHAEL RUSSELL SAWCHUK It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Cory Sawchuk, aged 41 years, beloved husband, father, son and brother, on Sunday November 30, 2003 at Seven Oaks Hospital. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 21 years, Elsie (Lorraine) three sons, Keith, Perry, Gary and daughter Trisha all of Winnipeg, also his loving parents, Russell and Chris of Selkirk; sister Kendra of Gilliam; brother Ken and sister-in-law Charlene of Beausejour; his mother-in-law Diane Olson of Winnipeg; father-in-law Ed Prince and brothers-in-law, Raymond, Glenn and Matt Olson, all of Scanterbury; several nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Cory was born on February 16, 1962 in Sudbury, ON and grew up and attended school in Selkirk. He loved sports, in particular hockey, and enjoyed being a timekeeper in Selkirk. He worked as a courier for many years in Winnipeg. He was a loving husband, father and son and will be missed by all who knew him. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, December 3 at 8:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 4 at 10:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with assistant clergy to the Parish officiating. Interment will follow in the All Saints Cemetery, Rivercrest, MB. Pallbearers will be Raymond and Matt Olson, Keith and Perry Sawchuk, Glenn Kozan and Fred Geisler. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to a Trust Fund for Gary and Trisha, c/o Bank of Montreal, 249 Manitoba Ave., Selkirk R1A 0Y4. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
