IVIEDELL THOMSON (nee FOX) Passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2003 at Oakview Place at the age of 102 years. She was predeceased by her husband Claude in October 1953; her daughter Jacquie Campbell in 1987; and son-in-law John; brothers, Joe, Harold, Sid, John and Bert sister Edie Dack. Ivy is survived by her granddaughter Heather Enns and her husband Farrell; cousin and good friend Marjorie Rankin (Thomson) special niece, Iviedell Lamb (Fox) of Kelowna, BC; good friends, Shirley Bechamp and Ruth Toal. Ivy did a lifetime of volunteering St. James - Health, C.N.I.B. to name a few. She was a member of Quota Club International - womens service organization 1955-1997. Ivy was a long standing member of Assiniboine Golf Club and started curling at age 69 at Deer Lodge Curling Club. She was a strong supporter of the Progressive Conservative Party Federally and Provincially. Ivy was Manitobas oldest Funeral Director, retiring as President of Thomson Funeral Chapels in 1973. Thanks to all the wonderful people at Oakview Place Personal Care Centre. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 5 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway.
