EPHREM EUGENE BRUNEAU It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Ephrem Bruneau, aged 81 years, of Saint-Jean-Baptiste, on Monday, December 1, 2003 at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Ephrem is survived by Jeannine Fillion, George and Celima, Yvette and Armand St. Godard, Lorraine and Harvey Foss, Rose Marie and Roger Bremault, Anne Marie and Richard Roy; sisters-in-law, Germaine and Irene; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his father Ludger; his mother Angeline; brothers, Leo and Aime; and brother-in-law Albert Fillion. Ephrem was active with the family farm until the early eighties. He retired, but continued his love of the land by producing the first ripe tomatoes of the season. He was known as a sports enthusiast; curling in the winter, and hunting, fishing, and golf during the rest of the year. He travelled extensively to Hawaii, Texas, and other places. Ephrem enjoyed family gatherings, thus giving him the opportunity to spoil all his young nieces and nephews. He never missed Sunday Mass, nor his time saying the rosary with the residents of the "Paradis des Pioneers" manor. In recent years a daily game of "cribbage" with his friends at the manor became part of his life. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 4 at 4:00 p.m. in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Catholic Church. Cremation will follow. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses, and all those who took great care of Ephrem. Morris Funeral Home 746-2451 Toll Free 1-866-746-2451
