PETER L. DYCK November 27, 1926 - December 2, 2003 With dignity, strength and fortitude Peter fought his struggle with cancer. Surrounded by his loving family, Peter went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at the Bethesda Hospital. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Henrich and Kathrina Dyck; three brothers, Frank, Henry and John; two sisters, Mary and Nettie. Peter leaves to cherish his many memories, his loving wife of 36 years Arcky; his three brothers, William (Helen), George, Isaac (Connie) two sisters, Kathrina Berg, Anne (Alex) Losky; his mother-in-law Marguerite; sister and brother-in-law, Mary (Marcel) Normandeau; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Peter entered the work force at the age of 15. It was very important for him to save his money to help pay for the family farm. He travelled out west working for various farmers and ranchers. Peter returned to Manitoba in 1949 when he began working for the telephone system. His interest in electronics brought him into a career of T.V. repairs, which he worked at until his retirement. Peter met the love of his life, Arcky, and was married on July 29, 1967. Together they enjoyed travelling, gardening, hiking, and simply spending time together. Peter will be sadly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. The family would like to extend special thanks to his cancer care nursing staff, the nursing staff at the Bethesda Hospital, as well as Dr. Ilchyna. A special thanks to all those who came to visit Peter during his hospital stay. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. If family and friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
