CATHERINE KELLER On December 4, 2003, at the Middle Church Home of Winnipeg, Catherine Keller passed on peacefully to join her beloved husband John who predeceased her in 1993. As a child, Kae and her parents immigrated to Canada from Europe. Kae grew up in Cooks Creek, MB. She worked in Winnipeg as a young adult where she met her future husband John. The couple married and settled down in Gimli. In later years they resided in Winnipeg. Kae is survived by her daughters Gladys Bennett and Bev Janis; her grandchildren Jay and Myles Bennett; Curtis Janis, Twyla (Peter) Kenyon, Kim (Allan) Zail and Melanie Janis; and by six great-grandchildren Lyle, Brett, Krystal, Kyle, Travis and Haley. She is also survived by her sister Nellie Holubowich; and her brother Nick Kowalec; sister-in-law Mary Keller; and brother-in-law Alex Chase. Many nieces and nephews and good friends also survive her. Nannys heart was always filled with love for all of us and she showered us with unlimited generosity, understanding and caring. She will be sadly missed and always cherished by all of her loved ones and friends. A celebration of Kaes life will be held on Tuesday, December 9, at 10:30 a.m. (viewing one half hour prior) at the Holy Redeemer Parish, 264 Donwood Ave., Winnipeg, with Father Ray Baudry officiating. Interment to follow in Cyrilly Methodius Cemetery in Gimli, MB, at 3:00 p.m. Thank you to all of the staff at Middle Church Home, especially Leonard who could always bring a smile to "KKs" face. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Middle Church Home of Winnipeg, Courtyard Enhancement Fund, 280 Balderstone Road, West St. Paul, MB, R4A 4A6, would be greatly appreciated. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
