JOHN WILLIAM ALEXANDER McCLURE
On December 3, 2003, John McClure passed peacefully while in the care of the remarkable staff at Jocelyn House in Winnipeg. Left to cherish his memory, John Jr., his wife Brenda and two children, Jade and Jagger of Winnipeg, Dawn and her husband Doug and two children, Taylor and Morgan of Terrace, BC and countless friends. John was predeceased by his wife Audrey (Crawford) and then Hodie (Skidd). A celebration of Johns time with us will be held on Monday, December 8, at Garry Memorial Funeral Home on McGillivray Boulevard starting at 10:30 a.m. John was Past President of the Winnipeg Lions Club and held positions on the Lions Housing Executive right to his passing. He was also a lifelong member of the Century Club in Sarnia. John retired after 46 years with Mueller, but never really left the business. John worked especially hard to find ways to spend time with family and friends at Falcon Lake, on ski vacations and trips to Florida. The family gratefully declines flowers and arrangements. If friends so desire, memorial contributions can be made to Lions Housing, 610 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 0G5, the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7, or Jocelyn House, 177 Egerton Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 2W7.
