Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLIVE BERE Olive died peacefully at Prairie View Lodge in Pilot Mound on November 26, 2003 at the age of 98 years. Olive was born to Adeline and James Melvin on their farm south of Mather on December 16, 1904. She and Eber were married on December 26, 1927. They farmed the Bere farm until they moved to Mather in 1960. Olive resided in Mather until 1985 when she moved to Parkview Lodge in Crystal City. In 1999, Olive became a resident at Prairie View Lodge. As a young woman, she was a member of the Home Helpers Ladies Group in the Mount Prospect District and of the Rebekah Lodge. Until moving to Crystal City, she was active in the United Church at Mather. Olive was predeceased by an infant daughter in 1930; her son Melvin (Bud) in 1975; her husband Eber in 1977 and David Kozuska in 2000, as well as her sister Jean Ackroyd and her brothers, Fred, Gordon and Harold. She is survived by her sister Bernice (Drewry) Kinley; her daughter Marie (Bob) Wilson; her daughter-in-law Ruth Bere; her grandchildren, Craig (Carol) Bere, Cherney Bere and her husband Ed Kozakevich, Loralyn (Murray) Holmes, Elizabeth Kozuska, Robert (Tanis) Wilson, Cathy (Doug) Court, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place with the interment of the ashes to be at a later date. A memoriam service will be held at Mather United Church on Wednesday, December 10 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Diane Guilford and Beth Clark officiating. Friends, if they desire, may donate in Olives memory to Mather United Church, Mather, MB R0K 1L0 or to Prairie View Lodge Foundation, Pilot Mound, MB R0G 1P0.
