HERVE BEROUD It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our father and grandfather, Herve Beroud at 83 years. Dad was born in Camper, MB, on the family farm on January 25, 1920. By the age of 14 years, he was working as a farm hand and a commercial fisherman. He enlisted in the Army and served his country overseas in the Second World War with the PPCLI. With his discharge in 1946, he returned to the family farm. In 1950, he married Nancy White and together they farmed and raised their family. Dad was an easy-going, soft-spoken man who was always ready to lend a hand. He loved the quiet peaceful farm life and enjoyed the many times he spent visiting and card playing with his neighbours and friends. Dad felt a sense of purpose toward the growth of his community. Throughout his life, he actively served in many communities, some of which were the Army and Navy, School Trustee, Camper Community Hall Committee, Farmers Union, the Royal Canadian Legion, Councillor in the RM of Siglunes and the Seniors New Horizon Club in Camper. He was predeceased by his wife Nancy in 1983 and two brothers Edward and John. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Dale; granddaughter Jemini; daughter Darlene (Gary) grandson Laurent and his special family friend Derek Westra. He is also survived by his three sisters, Marion Schwitek, Louise Huffman and Theresa Busch and their families. Friends and relatives may pay their respects at the Arnason Funeral Home in Ashern, MB, between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 14 at the Camper Community Hall in Camper, MB with Fr. Dominique Kerbrat officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the hall. Interment to follow in the Dog Lake Cemetery. Arrangements by: Arnason Funeral Homes, Ltd. Ashern - Lundar 1-204-768-2072
