PETER KICHOK After a lengthy illness, Peter Kichok, aged 80 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2003 at the Fort Garry Care Centre. Peter is survived by his niece Olga Rozwood, and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Olina; three brothers, Bill, Nick and Mike; three sisters, Mary, Anne and Pearl. Peter was born in Pine Ridge, MB and resided there with his mother and brother Mike, before moving to Winnipeg in the early sixties. He was a quiet, sensitive, fun loving person and a good sport, who loved to play cards, and ride the bus to various malls in his early days. Peter will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. with Rev. Deacon Walter Knysh officiating. Interment to follow at the Birds Hill Park Cemetery (alternately known as the Pine Ridge Cemetery). At this time the family would like to express their thanks to all of the dedicated staff at the Fort Garry Care Centre, for their kindness, compassion and loving care that they gave to Uncle Peter for some 11 years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peters memory may be made to the Fort Garry Care Centre Memorial Foundation, 1776 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2G2.
