Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERARDINO PETRELLI November 20, 1933- December 7, 2003 Peacefully on December 7, 2003, our dear husband, father and grandpa passed away after a lengthy illness. Papa was born in Campovalano, Teramo, Italy. He came to Canada in 1959 to reunite with his wife, who had arrived nine months before him. Papa leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 45 years, Amalia; son Franco; daughter-in-law Julieta; grandchildren, Berardino and Franca; his mother Erminia in Italy; brother Adolfo and wife Darlene; niece Tania; nephew Dennis of Winnipeg; sister Maddalena Esposito and husband Giannino; nephew Tiziano; niece Romina in Italy and numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his infant brother Rudolfo and father Franco. Papa worked for 23 years at Co-op Implements where he made many friends. Due to illness he retired at an early age. He enjoyed spending his time at his favourite place, his cottage. He loved to work in his wonderful large garden and took pride in showing it off to others and also enjoyed sharing his fruits and vegetables with others. His greatest joy was taking care of his beloved grandchildren and watching them grow. The family would like to express its sincere gratitude to the staff of Health Sciences Centre emergency and the M.I.C.U. for their kindness and care. Special thanks to Dr. Marvin Slutchuk, Dr. Robert Kroeker and Dr. Cindy Richardson for their wonderful care throughout the years. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, December 10 at 8:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 11 at 10:00 a.m. also in the Church with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding at the Eucharist. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Berardino Petrelli, Dennis Petrelli, Alessandro Baksina, Paul Ruiter, Jose Raposo and Roger Borges. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Papas memory to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of ones choice.
