MICHAEL ZADOROZNY It is with sorrow that we announce the passing on December 5, 2003 of Michael Skipper Zadorozny, aged 88 years. Michael leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter Elaine; his brother-in-law Michael; his brother-in-law Bill (Jo) sister-in-law Nell; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Catherine on January 2, 2003; his mother Telkia; and father Stephan; and sisters, Anne and Mary. Michael was born, raised, and educated in Winnipeg. He had a long career working on the railway and was known as Ice Man Mike. He dedicated his life to caring for his daughter Elaine. Michael was a long time parishioner of Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 9, at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1001 Grant Ave., with Rev. Mark Gnutel officiating and with Rev. Gerald Langevin and Rev. Diosdado Parrenas con-celebrating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of the Riverview Health Care Centre, the Palliative Care Unit, 3East, and the Homecare Unit for their compassion and care in the past couple of months. Also to the Homecare staff and the wonderful neighbours who enabled Michael to stay in his own home for as long as possible. In memory of Mike, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
