BRIAN DION February 15, 1946 - December 7, 2003 Surrounded by the love of his family, Brian was given the gift of passing away peacefully at his home, on December 7, 2003. Left to carry on his memory, his wife Irene; sons, Jason and his wife Emily and Kevin; mother and father-in-law, Dan and Dorothy Imlah; sister Doreen (Ken) Osinski; brother David (Leanne) Dion; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Marilyn Romphf, Sharon (Dave) Matheson, Daniel (Barb) Imlah, Joanne Imlah (Shane) along with many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. He was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Mary Dion. Brian dearly loved his family and enjoyed spending his time with them and the company of many longtime friends. He enjoyed collecting many toys and antiques, telling jokes, playing cards and being at home surrounded by nature. Brian spent most of his working life at John Deere in Fisher Branch, finishing his career at John Deere in Oak Bluff. Over the years he was well liked and respected by staff members, business associates and acquaintances. The family would like to send a special thank you to the many doctors, nurses and Palliative Care staff, both at the Health Sciences CancerCare Centre and Percy E. Moore Hospital, for all their care and compassion to Brian in his time of need. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 7:30 p.m. at Roman Catholic Church in Fisher Branch. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, December 10, 1:00 p.m., also at the Roman Catholic Church in Fisher Branch, Father Dave Kowalski officiating. The family asks that no flowers be given; instead, they ask that you take your family out for a nice dinner. We will miss him deeply. Arrangements in care of Fisher Funeral Home, Fisher Branch, MB.
