GORDON WILLIAM McLAY Peacefully after a short illness with his family at his side, Gordon William McLay, age 68 years, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on December 8, 2003. Predeceased by his parents Grace and William McLay and his cherished wife Anna May, he leaves to mourn his memory his son Bruce (Ingrid) granddaughters, Jennifer and Stefanie; daughter Lindsay (Dean) Hagglund, granddaughters, Alisia (Jeff Roos), Kayla and Deanna; sister Catherine (Gerry) Kasprick and family; sister-in-law Adene (Lloyd) Clay and family, and special friends, Barb Kearney and Phyliss Wiseman, as well as many other friends and family. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the medical staff of the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. Special thanks to nurses Dianne, Jacquie and Helene for not only taking care of Dad but for taking care of all of us. At Gords request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 11 at 10:00 a.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Gord to Canadian Legion Memorial Housing Foundation, 47 Cascade Bay, Winnipeg, MBR2J 1W2 or the charity of ones choice.
