Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPASQUALE (CHARLIE) GIARDINO June 8, 1913 - December 8, 2003 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful calling of our beloved Father, Grandfather, Husband and Brother, Pasquale Giardino, who passed away in his sleep at Riverview Health Centre on Monday, December 8, 2003. Dad was predeceased by his youngest son Charlie, who was taken from us in 1992, and his brothers, Egidio and Sergio; his sisters, Loris and Carmela. Dad leaves to celebrate his life, his son John; daughter Rose Lyman; son Carlo (Rosanna) his wife Maria; his sister Lida Conci; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Dad was born in Grimaldi, Italy, June 8, 1913. He came to Canada in 1949 to build a better life for his family. Dad worked at Morrells Vacuum for many years, later purchasing the business and worked at it until his retirement in 1978. Dad loved his family and was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Prayers will be said on Thursday, December 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 12 at 10:00 a.m. also at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley St. The family wishes to thank the staff at Riverview 4D for the extended care provided. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MBR3L 0K6.
