THEODORE HERMAN HARTWIG It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather, Theodore Herman Hartwig, on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at the age of 85 years. Ted passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Alma; daughter Judy (Maurice Default) grandsons, Aaron and Brenden; one daughter Norma Hartwig; granddaughters, Leah and Kerry. Ted is survived by one brother Fred and numerous nieces and nephews. Ted was born near Emerson in the Friedensthal district on March 6, 1918. Here he met his beloved wife Alma and together they farmed until 1973. At this time they relocated to Winnipeg and Ted worked for the St. Vital School Division until his retirement. Ted was a kind and good natured man with a good sense of humour. He loved nature, working with wood and going for walks. The love of his family was the joy of his life. His faith in God never wavered. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to all the staff at the Vista Park Lodge for how they cared for Dad. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota St. with a viewing half hour prior to the service.
