EDITH LILLIAN BARTLETT
November 12, 1918 - August 29, 2003
On Friday, August 29, 2003 at the Carman Memorial Hospital in Carman, MB, Edie Bartlett, aged 84 years beloved wife of the late George Edward Bartlett of Carman.
Edie was predeceased by her husband George in 1981; three sons, Michael, Bryan and Derek; one daughter Earlene; one son-in-law Don Frost; four brothers John, James, Angus and Roy Aimoe; and one sister Alvina Duncan. She is survived by two sons, Bill and wife Fran of Winnipeg, Allan and wife Kerry of Winnipeg; two daughters, Joan Frost of Sherwood Park, AB, and Peggy King and husband Ciaran of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one brother Barry and wife Lorna Aimoe of Brandon; one sister Kay and husband Harry Morris of Winnipeg; numerous nieces and nephews; and one special cousin Marje Forzley of Winnipeg.
Edie was a 50 year member of the Ladies Auxiliary Legion No. 18; 20 year member of the Legion Branch No. 18 Associate; member and past president of the Legion over 60 club; and member and past president of the Friendship Centre. She canvassed for the Red Cross, Salvation Army and the United Way. The family appreciates all the support of family and friends shown to Edie over the last few years.
Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church on Thursday, September 4 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Edward Kosa O.M.I. officiating. Prayers will be said from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place in the Carman Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carman Legion Ladies Auxiliary or to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Carman, MB R0G 0J0.
