JOHN (JACK) FRANKLIN FEDYCK Suddenly at his residence on Wednesday, December 10, 2003, John (Jack) Franklin Fedyck, aged 67 years old. Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Florence; his children, daughter Debbie (Clay) Smithson of Winnipeg; son Darryl (friend Marlene) Fedyck of Winnipeg; daughter-in-law Bonnie and children, Brooke and Taylor; daughter Debbie (Alvin) Thomas of Lac Du Bonnet, MB and children, Brad and friend Angela and Karen (Nealian) son Robert (Pat) Sareault of Petersfield, MB and children, Joclyn and friend Tom and Jill; daughter Theresa (Ron) White of Petersfield, MB and children, Tiffany and friend Matty, Alanna and friend Hans and Lee; sister Val (Ed) Holm of Kamloops, BC. Jack was predeceased by his parents, John and Anne; brother Henry and sister-in-law Peggy. He was born on July 8, 1936 in Selkirk, MB where he grew up. Jack was employed with the Manitoba Rolling Mills for 42 years and retired at age 57. He was a longtime member of the Selkirk Volunteer Fire Dept. until his retirement. His love of sports is known by all who knew Jack. In his younger years he was an active player in hockey and baseball and later coached, umpired and refereed sports. Jack also became an avid golfer and in the summers enjoyed playing on the many courses throughout Manitoba and in the winter on the courses at their home in Mission, Texas where Jacks many friends will miss his smiles and humor. A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 14 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 15 at 1:00 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Church with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. Interment to follow at a later date with the family. Florence and families would like to thank the Selkirk Ambulance Service and the R.C.M.P. for their assistance and compassion. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Selkirk Volunteer Fire Dept. and Jacks many golf buddies. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
