BETTY JEAN SUMNER March 1, 1983 - December 11, 2003 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Betty Jean Sumner of Fairford, MB on December 11, 2003 at the age of 20 years. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories, her mother Linda; her stepfather Colin Sanderson; her father Alex Sumner; her grandmother Irma Sumner; her children, Arlen Sumner, Gynell Shorting, Elvis Shorting Jr., Chase Shorting, along with their father, Elvis Shorting Sr.; her brothers, Bobby (Melissa) Sumner and Nicholas Sanderson; her sisters, Lisa (Henry) Sumner, Roberta (Chris) Sumner, Lindsay Sumner, Hillary Sumner and Alexandra Sumner; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty will be loved and deeply missed by the many people she touched with her presence, especially her family. Wake services will be held on Monday, December 15 and on Tuesday, December 16 at 7:30 p.m. each evening. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17 at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Wilfred Bruce officiating. All services will be held at the Fairford House of Prayer, Fairford. Interment will follow at the St. Helens Anglican Cemetery. The family wishes to thank all the people who came to the hospital to show their love and support, Anderson Family Funeral Home for their comfort and to the Fairford Chief and Council for all their assistance.
