Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDITH SAIMA ANDERSON On December 1, 2003 Edith Anderson, a longtime resident of The Pas, passed away peacefully with family members at her bedside. She had spent the last two years in St. Pauls Personal Care Home, surrounded by a loving staff, family and friends. Edith was born at Lake Cateru, SK to Walter and Esther Nordholm. She moved to the Pas in 1933 with her husband George Anderson who predeceased her in 1982. She is survived by 16 sons and daughters, Phyllis (Robert) Briercliffe Pinawa, Bob (Ann) Anderson Aylesford, NS, Jean (John) Chorney Brandon, MB, Mayben (Douglas) Leblanc Halifax, NS, Ruth (Philip) Gelinas Winnipeg, MB, Jim (Serena) Anderson Kingston, NS, Glenn (Jane) Anderson Belleville, ON, Barbara (Rene) LeFranc Salmon Arm, BC, Brian Anderson Campbell River, BC, Allan (Carol) Anderson The Pas, MB, Gerald (Elaine) Anderson, The Pas, MB, Margaret (Dave) Doucet Cranbrook, BC, Donald Anderson The Pas, Debbie (Rod) Oslund Marysville, BC, Ralph (Sheila) Anderson of Winnipeg, MB, Rodger Anderson, Flin Flon, MB; a daughter-in-law Anna Carnegie The Pas and over a 100 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Edith was also predeceased by a daughter Iris in 1963 and a son Douglas in 1967; as well as a sister Eva and brothers, Fred, Edwin and Elmer, who all had lived in Saskatchewan. Edith was a mother first and foremost. Her families delighted her. Her babies remained in her heart and memory until her very last days. Great-grandchildren discovered very early that grandma-grandma was very special and they responded to her unconditional love as her own children and grandchildren have done through the years. "Please think of her as living In the hearts of those she touched For nothing loved is ever lost. And she was loved so much." Edith was loved not only by her family but by the many people whom she passed on her way in this life. Funeral services have taken place.
