Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD JOHN STANBRA It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather on Friday, December 12, 2003 at the Selkirk Betel Home at the age of 85. Born September 8, 1918 in Hazel Ridge, MB. Harold married Helene Eunice Florence on June 1, 1943 and they spent the majority of their life in Teulon where they raised their family of four children. Harold had a variety of jobs over the years, his main one being a guard at Headingly Jail for approximately 27 years before retiring. He enjoyed going to the rodeos where he would always watch with pride as his sons raced his race horses. Besides rodeos, Harold just loved life in general, always surrounded by an endless stream of friends and family. His great sense of humour and fabulous personality were a magnet to those that knew him. Harold leaves to mourn his four children, Arlene (Vernon), Larry (Kris), Stewart, and Lenore (Dennis). He also leaves 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Joyce, Myrtle, Orla and Ena; and sister-in-law Donna Stanbra. Harold was predeceased by his wife Helene, parents, Herbert and Annie; brothers, Stan, Norman and Neil; and great-grandson Cody Peters. The memorial service will be at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon on Wednesday, December 17 at 4:00 p.m. Rev. Antsie officiating. Service will conclude at chapel. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
