MURIEL ELVA BEECH (nee SCAIFE) Peacefully, Muriel Beech passed away on December 14, 2003 at the Riverview Health Centre. She was predeceased by her husband John (Jack) in 1990; her parents, Elva and Chris; her brothers, Gerald and Calvin and her sisters, Verla and Audrey. Muriel is survived by her son Thomas; sister Beryl McDiarmid; her niece Geraldine Lane; sister-in-law Pat Scaife; dear friends, Mildred and Gordon McTavish and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was born in Winnipeg and grew up in St. James, graduating from Linwood High School. Muriel was active in Fort Garry United Church, the Granite Curling Club, the "sewing club," and in various community organizations. Her happiest moments were spent at the family cottage at Star Lake. She will be best remembered by those who knew and loved her, for her sparkling personality, and wonderful sense of humour. At her essence and in all of her actions, Muriel was a kind and caring person. The family would like to thank the staff of the Riverview Health Centre for their kindness, compassion and loving care. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 19 at 1:30 p.m. in Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Rd.
