Also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Drs. Howard and Sheena Guest of Victoria, BC; two nephews, Dr. Stuart and Lynn Guest and their children, Lara and Neil of Edmonton, AB, Donald and Cathy Guest and sons, Phillip and Christopher of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Margaret Malfait of Duncan, BC, Wayne and Donna Malfait of Victoria, Verne Malfait of Brandon, MB, sisters and brothers-in-law, Clarice and Ed Ungrin of Kamloops, BC, Janette and James Brecknell of Bagot, MB and a large extended family too numerous to mention. He moved to his parents farm north of Stonewall while still a baby. He had a great love of the land and said he never felt it was work. He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching TV. Travel was high on his list of pleasures, he and Marla took many special trips. Bill loved life and had a ready smile and a hearty laugh that he tried hard to contain but was never able to. Bill was a strong gentle man and will be sorely missed by family and friends. A private family interment will take place at the Stonewall Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 18 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Special thanks to the Doctors and staff at the Stonewall Hospital for their support and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare MB, or the Lung Association, MB.
