Bill was born on October 8, 1915 in Lydiatt to Conrad and Marie (Betzold) Loeb. On April 25, 1942 he married Olga Rohloff and together they made their home on the farm in Lydiatt where they raised their family. The farm was a summer home for many relatives. After retiring from farming, Bill and Olga moved to Beausejour where he worked for the Brokenhead Municipality. He was a faithful member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Lydiatt and Grace Lutheran Church in Beausejour. Over the years he served as a Corrall School trustee, a councillor for the Springfield Municipality, and was on the church council in Lydiatt. Bill enjoyed a good card game, sing-songs, fishing and any neighborhood or family gathering. He was a fun loving man who liked to tease. Bicycle Bill appreciated the care and friendship he received from the residents and staff of South Haven, Beausejour Hospital and East Gate Lodge. The family thanks them and Dr. Daphne Schmidt for their care and support. There will be viewing on Wednesday, December 17 (tonight) from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 8:45 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave. E. Beausejour.
