Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD BREWSTER Harold Brewster passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2003, at the Red River Place Personal Care Home, Selkirk, MB. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Bjornson (David), Joan Sigurdson, Margaret OHara and Beverly Peters (Bob) grandchildren, Warren, Sandra (Rene), Keith, Rhonda (Terry), Inga (Greg), Heather, Mandy (Andre) and Mike; great-grandchildren, Shane, Austin, Cassandra, Renelle and Maya. He was predeceased by his wife Ethel; his grandson Brett; brothers, Ernie and Les; and sister Marge Greenberg. Dads passion was work. He started working at a young age, riding the rails to various farms across the prairies in spring and summer. He fished up north during the fall and winter. He married Ethel in 1943 and they bought the farm in Arnes. In addition to farming, he always worked off the farm at various occupations: BC Packers, mink ranches, janitor at D.N.D. Saunders Aircraft and C.N. at the airbase in Gimli. After retiring, he became the vegetable man in Arnes. He trapped and he collected scrap metal. He also took time to travel to Hawaii, the Caribbean, Mexico and rural Manitoba. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli, with Pastor Rainy McKinnon officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli, in care of arrangements.
