DANIEL VICTOR GILLIES Daniel Victor Gillies, aged 83, passed away at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre on December 16, 2003. Loving husband of Rose. He leaves many wonderful memories for and will be sadly missed by his daughters, Bonnie (Don) Cunningham, Glenda (Gordon) Hatton and Diane (John) Eckmire. Cherished Papa to his many grandchildren, Tracy, Tara, Christopher, Elise, Trevor, Devin, Elliot, Kayli, Jason, Carrie, Susanna, and great-grandchildren, Brein, Sasha, Gabriel, Noah, Maia, Sara, Cleo, Rosie, Daisy and Sandrene. Also survived by his dear sister Ruby (Larry) Batchelor; his brothers, Harold (Margaret) and Lloyd (Laurie). Papa was predeceased by his beloved grandson Scotty (1975) and his brother Clarence (2001). A quiet and gentle man with a special sense of humour, Dan will be remembered by all who knew him for his love for his God, Jehovah, and his zeal for witnessing about Him. Along with his dear wife Rose, his spirit of hospitality and generosity touched many lives. Friends will be welcome to a memorial service to be held at the Kingdom Hall Centre, 227 Lakewood Blvd., Winnipeg, on Friday, December 19 at 7:00 p.m. If so desired, donations may be made to the Watchtower Society, Box 4100, Halton Hills, Georgetown, ON, L7G 4Y4.
