OLGA (OLLIE) KUZIK (nee WERBICKI)
Born: Jan 01, 1919
Date of Passing: Dec 16, 2003
Offer Condolences or MemoryOLGA (OLLIE) KUZIK (nee WERBICKI) (Change in date of service) January 1, 1919 - December 16, 2003 Peacefully, in her sleep, on December 16, at Fred Douglas Lodge, God was ready to take Mom on her next journey, free of pain, embracing her with peace she so desperately wanted. Mom is not suffering anymore. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Sam who passed away on September 21, 1990; as well as her brother Michael; sisters, Evelyn and Stella; several brothers and sisters-in-law. She is survived by two brothers, Joseph "Joe" (Sophie), Walter (Victoria/"Vicky") as well as sisters, Lena Lucas, Mary ("Minnie") Kusner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Left to mourn their mom and Baba are: Chris (Pat), Buckhorn, ON; Rick (Marie), Calgary, AB; Valerie (Colin) Stark, Winnipeg; Dr. Brian (Laurie) Kuzik, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; as well as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The celebration of her life will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20 at Korban Funeral Chapel, Main Street at Euclid. Eulogy will be given by Rev. John Lenshyn, D.Min. from Fred Douglas Lodge where she spent her last two years. Mom benefitted from the constant care and attention from her loving sister, Lena Lucas. Thank you Auntie from the bottom of our hearts! Special thanks to Maureen Halliday, her caregiver. They had a special relationship. Mom was always at ease when she knew Maureen was coming to spend time with her, especially in the courtyard. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to: Fred Douglas Lodge, c/o Ollies Garden so that there might be a living memory of Ollie who loved gardening and the great outdoors all her life. Perennials as well as vegetables, especially tomatoes, will be grown for future residents to enjoy. Mom suffered with pain all her life and is now free at last. VICHNAYA PAMYAT Rest in Peace Mom
