ROBERT "BOB" BROUGHTON Peacefully on December 16, 2003, Bob passed away with his family by his side. Bob will be dearly missed by his wife Lorraine of 52 years; daughter Shelley (David) Harding; grandchildren, Patrick and Alina; son Allan; grandson Robert; daughter Joanne (Jeff) granddaughter Sadie; step-grandsons, Ryan and Jake; daughter Marlene; grandchildren, Paul, Jazmine, Dylan, Michal (Mike) and great-grandson Gabriel. He is also remembered by his sister and brother-in-law, Toots and Jim Laing of Winnipeg; sister Kay Morton of Weyburn, SK; ex-son-in-law Bill Summers; and many other friends and relatives. Bob was born in Creelman, SK on March 28, 1926 where he spent his early years. He transferred through work to Boissevain, Souris, Morden and finally settling in Winnipeg in 1971. We will remember Dad for his sense of humour and story-telling. Dads passion was tending his garden, especially his tomatoes and hot peppers. You could always find him sitting in the "sunny" spot in the backyard, with his dog Mate by his side. He enjoyed watching the grandchildren grow through the years. Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to the Riverview Health Centre (3E) and to his home care nurses. Respecting Dads wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, if friends wish, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. We all have our own special memories of Dad. Even though you left us, you will live in our hearts forever. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
