CLAUDIA BARBARA EDWARDS
Date of Passing: Dec 17, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLAUDIA BARBARA EDWARDS Peacefully, on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at the Betel Home, Selkirk, Claudia Edwards of Clandeboye, MB. Claudia was predeceased by her husband George; her siblings, Lorna and Kay. She leaves behind her daughter Barbara and grandson Ryan (his girlfriend Sheryal and her children, Crystal and Tuesday) along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was born and educated in Nelson, BC. Moms love of music and dancing brought her to meet her husband at a dance, whom she married in 1953. Music was very important to her and she would often break into song. Claudia loved the three Cs, coffee, company and crosswords and thoroughly enjoyed people popping over to have coffee with her. Mom taught me the importance of fancy sandwiches, checkerboard cakes and reading a good book. She had many hobbies, which included, knitting, tatting, crocheting, and needlepoint, which she was always willing to teach. She had a wonderful sense of humour and with all the goodtimes we had, we will be able to keep those memories close to our hearts. We will miss your laughter and giggles. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 20 at 10:30 a.m. in the Clandeboye United Church, Clandboye, MB with Rev. Lynn Stevens officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at the Betel Home for taking such good care of Mom and to the Selkirk Home Care for caring for Claudia before she went in the Betel Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
