BETTE E. BARTON April 12, 1924 - December 18, 2003 Bette passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, December 18, 2003. Bette was predeceased by her husband, Gordon. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her family, son Bob (Mary) and daughter Marni (Barry) her grandchildren, Grady (fiancee Laurel) and Lindsay Barton, Ryan and Kris Chappell. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and dear friends. Family was very important to Bette and she took extreme pride in her four grandchildren and their accomplishments. She also had many other interests, especially sports. Bette gathered many friends as a longtime resident of Rivercrest and through careers in real estate and travel. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 22 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow. Flowers are gratefully declined.
