FLAVIANO A. DE LIMA (TANO) It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tano De Lima on Monday, December 15, 2003 at the age of 61 years. He was predeceased by his father Aquilino De Lima; mother Aniceta De Lima; brothers, Emiliano De Lima, Maximo De Lima, Francisco De Lima, Ernestor De Lima; sisters, Sixta Jansuy and Gloria Deeds. He is survived by his wife Proserfina De Lima; children, Joseph De Lima, Jessie De Lima (Regina), Joyce De Lima-Edwards (Wayde) and their spouses, Jeanette De Lima-Dela Cruz (Allen), Marieanne De Lima (Roen) grandchildren, Myles Anthony, Brittany Amber, Rhea Jane, Gaberiel Aqulino, Jaerrod Reilley and Ethan Keahi; brothers, Benito De Lima and Mario De Lima; and his nephews and nieces, Marcy De Lima (Tess), Beverly De Lima and Reggie Borja (Ed). Tano immigrated to Canada in 1974 and was employed by CN Railway ever since. Being one of the pioneers of Filipinos in Winnipeg; he developed a sea of friends for life. By 1978, he managed to sponsor his wife and children to Canada. He had a personality that gravitated people to him. Tano will always be remembered for his gift of generosity towards both friends and family. We are blessed to have him in our lives. Lamay will take place on Sunday and Monday, December 21 and 22 from 7:00 p.m. until midnight at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. The mass will take place on Tuesday, December 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Church, 748 Keewatin St. Burial will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow at Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Pallbearers will be Larry Dominguez, Joe Montinola, Manny Adelantar, Roger Gasmen, Bob Blanca, Pat Gapate, Bert Carbalo, Riz Mapue.
